Since its inception in May 2017, AIIMS - Guwahati has proudly held the title of an Institute of National Importance. As an autonomous institution under the Government of India, it is steadfast in its mission to advance medical care and research.
At the AIIM Guwahati campus, Vallect successfully integrated bespoke AV solutions, greatly enhancing its multimedia capabilities for an improved user experience. This involved creating conference and lecture rooms with a capacity varying from 20 to 160 people to promote interactive meetings, as well as equipping a 500-seater auditorium with cutting-edge audiovisual technology for events and presentations. The institute has established itself as a leader in educational technology because of the cutting-edge audiovisual capabilities in these spaces, which improve meeting and learning solutions for both professors and students.

Our Solutions> & Technology Installation

Vallect was entrusted with the AV integration services at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Guwahati, tailored to diverse campus environments, ensuring superior functionality and user experience. This partnership highlights Vallect's expertise in the educational infrastructural technology space.

The project required a comprehensive audio-visual system, including digital mixers, video equipment, wireless microphones, line array speakers, subwoofers, projectors, digital podiums, high-definition screens, network equipment, and control systems, to ensure professional audio-visual performance.
We deployed AV integration services across multiple spaces like the auditorium, conference room & lecture hall while installing following technologies:

1-Auditorium AV Solutions (500 Pax)

AV Integration

The auditorium with 500 seating capacity offers plenty of room for a range of activities. The events support presentations from laptops, desktop computers, tablets, and cell phones with ease thanks to wireless network connections.

Due to its versatile design, the cutting-edge AV system may be used for a wide range of purposes, including live events, instructional sessions, video conferences, presentations, and cultural events. Because of this adaptability, every event—regardless of type—can be carried out with excellent av integration assistance, providing a captivating and immersive experience for all guests.

In the auditorium, we've installed stage monitor loudspeakers, known for delivering high-quality sound with a wide frequency range, excellent sensitivity, and powerful output. They include standard accessories and wall brackets for straightforward installation.

Additionally, we'll provide, install, test, and set up a rigging frame for Bose's Line Array Speaker System. This service ensures the safe hanging of the Right and left line array speakers, meeting all safety standards and complying with tender specifications, including the provision of necessary accessories.

Video Solutions

Projector:

  • The Christie D13WU-HS projector, with its 13500 lumen brightness, was installed successfully in the auditorium to create an impactful visual experience. The projector is appropriate for a variety of events because of its WUXGA resolution, which produces crisp and detailed images. To guarantee flawless performance, the team connected the projector to a range of input possibilities, WiFi connectivity, and control interfaces.

Monitor:

  • We deployed Samsung's 22" monitors with a resolution of 1920x1080 (full HD) and an aspect ratio of 16:9. These monitors were meticulously selected to enhance camera monitoring capabilities throughout the space, ensuring clear and detailed visuals for every corner of the auditorium.

Video Conferencing System

  • We also deployed the Polycom RealPresence Group 700, a cutting-edge full-high-definition video conferencing system. This system features 1080p resolution for crisp, clear video quality, complemented by a 12X optical zoom integrated camera, RF remote control, and an omnidirectional microphone. This setup ensures seamless point-to-point video conferencing capabilities, enhancing communication and collaboration within the auditorium space.

Stage Lighting & Fabrication Solution

We utilize advanced lighting fixtures and controls to create dynamic and immersive atmospheres tailored to each performance. Our fabrication expertise ensures seamless integration and optimal positioning of lighting elements, guaranteeing captivating visual effects that complement every event.

For stage lighting, we chose Canara Lighting RGB lasers, which cater to large theaters and entertainment shows. These lasers are energy-efficient and offer vibrant, full-color lighting.

2) Conference and Lecture Room Solutions

Conference and lecture rooms feature advanced audiovisual technology for seamless presentations and meetings. They include high-quality projectors and video conferencing systems, along with robust audio equipment, all installed to enhance the user experience. The setup ensures clear visuals, crisp HD video calls, and powerful sound for effective communication.

In the conference rooms, which can accommodate 20 to 126 people, respectively, we installed Panasonic VZ-580 D 3LCD laser projectors. These projectors are known for their bright and clear image quality. They also have a long operational life, ensuring reliability and durability. The installation enhances the overall experience for presentations and meetings. Attendees can expect high-quality visuals for any type of content. 

These projectors are ideal for large gatherings and important meetings.  For video conferencing solutions, we installed:

RGB lasers, which cater to large theaters and entertainment shows. These lasers are energy-efficient and offer vibrant, full-color lighting.

  • Polycom RealPresence Group 700

We provide and set up a high-definition video conferencing system using the Polycom RealPresence Group 700. This system supports full HD 1080p video quality for clear, detailed video calls. It includes a 12X zoom camera, a remote control, and one omnidirectional microphone. We handle everything from installation to testing and commissioning, ensuring it meets all specifications outlined in the tender.

  • Recording and Streaming Devices

We equipped the conference rooms with recording and streaming devices that support high-definition recording, multiple HDMI inputs, and IP video sources. These devices also offer flexible scaling, window processing, and built-in storage.

  • Class D Power Amplifiers

In the lecture room (with a capacity of 124–126 people), we installed Class D power amplifiers. These amplifiers provide powerful and clear sound with built-in protection features and digital signal processing.

  • Speaker Cables and Projector Mount Kits

In the demo hall (for 30–40 people), we installed 16 AWG speaker cables and customized projector mount kits to ensure secure and optimal projector placement.

  • Bose IZA 190-HZ Amplifiers

We also installed Bose IZA 190-HZ integrated zone amplifiers in the necessary rooms. These amplifiers provide high-quality sound with features such as priority override and a fire alarm interface.

  5. User Training and Documentation: We provide comprehensive training sessions for venue staff on operating the AV system effectively. User manuals and system documentation are delivered to ensure ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting procedures are clear and accessible.
  6. Post-Installation Support: Our commitment doesn’t end with installation. We offer ongoing support and maintenance services to address any issues promptly and keep the AV system performing at its best over its operational lifetime.

Challenges> Project Challenges & how did we overcome the same.

  • Installation Complexity: To guarantee ideal positioning and performance, installing the stage monitor loudspeakers and the rigging frame for the Array Speaker System are complex processes that call for technical know-how.
  • Safety Compliance: Careful planning, execution, and extensive safety inspections are necessary to guarantee that the hanging of the Left and Right Line Array Speakers complies with strict safety regulations.
  • Integration with Current Systems: There may be compatibility and configuration issues when integrating the new speakers with the current auditorium's space design.
  • Coordination with Other Contractors: It might be difficult to juggle installation tasks with other active building or restoration projects in the auditorium, and efficient scheduling and communication are necessary.
